Ethics, Morals & Values

What I stand for.

BAU Farm Intelligence is a small, founder-led company. The way it is run is a direct reflection of the values I live by every day — written here in plain English so customers, partners, and teammates always know where I stand.

Family first

Family is the foundation. Every decision I make as a founder is weighed against the people I love and the legacy I want to leave them. A company that costs me my family is a company that has already failed.

Integrity, always

Integrity is a key part of my life. I say what I mean, I do what I said I would do, and when I'm wrong I say so plainly. No spin, no fine print, no quiet pivots hoping nobody notices.

A high ethical standard

Ethics are held to a high standard here — not the legal minimum, not industry average. If a choice would embarrass me in front of a farmer, a veteran, or my family, it is the wrong choice, regardless of what it does for the P&L.

How this shows up in the product

  • Farmers own their data — we never sell it, and we delete it on request.
  • Every number we display is calculated from a formula you can read and cite.
  • We tell you what the tool can't do, not just what it can.
  • If we break something, we say so, fix it, and tell you what changed.

To the farmers — a note from me.

I want to say this plainly.

You're the reason any of this exists.

Not the software. Not the slide decks. You — the ones up before sunrise, doing the actual work.

I've watched good farmers do everything right and still get squeezed. By paperwork, by middlemen, by tools built for somebody else.

That never sat right with me.

So I'm building what I wished you'd had years ago. Honest numbers. Plain language. Nothing you have to be a software person to use.

You know your land better than any algorithm ever will. My job is to help you think — not to think for you.

If you grow food for a living, you've got a friend in this company.

I mean that.
